I have been pondering on one of my previous posts about free will trying to answer my own question "Does God only have one ending for us that happy?" I think I now have deeper understanding of how it all works. Things that God has planned for us ARE the things he knows will make us the happiest and most fulfilled. We just may not realise it at the time.

God knows who we are even if we don't know ourselves, he knows what will fulfill us

He knows A is what you will enjoy most because of who you are, but free will means you can choose B or C or D and God will let you. He doesn't make you unhappy or unsuccessful or punish you for not choosing A, He supports you all the way. But because you choose something not the best fit for you it wont fulfill you. He is not the controlling parent who will refuse to support your life choice because it doesn't fit in with what his plan is, He will support you all the way BUT you will not be fulfilled because it is not what is meant for you. TRUST GOD, he is guiding you. There is an entire list of coffees we all enjoy but only one specific coffee, individually brewed to suit our palate that will bring the greatest delight!

My Daughter was saving up money for a course that would allow her to find work on yachts where she could earn more money to eventually pay for her studies.

I was concerned that the yacht work was going to make her miserable and be a longer road to achieve her dreams, while I admired her determination and commitment to suffer through till she could reach her goal, I did not think it the right choice. I fully supported what she wanted to do but I also suggested a different path... maybe a bit longer, maybe requiring more research to get the details but also less stressful and financially pressurizing and more useful long term, and in line with what she ultimately wants to study. She resisted my suggestion , got angry that I was being interfering and causing her more stress, so i stepped back and reassured her I fully supported her and admired her ethic. I also quietly sent her a bit of my own research. A few days later she had completely capitulated and decided that the path I had shown her was better.

I feel that this is what God wants... he wants us to see that we can choose any path but the path he has for us is the best one for us! Not because he is controlling, but because he loves us and knows our every cell and want to see us living in abundance.

Many are the plans in the mind

of a man, but it is the purpose

of the Lord that will stand.

Proverbs 19:21
